Picture disc trip down Memory Lane

Mem Barrow 4

A NEW picture CD from the Memories Page features by far the biggest and the best collection of classic Barrow photographs money can buy.
Just over 450 views from the Blitz damage of the 1940s to the Evening Mail’s centenary in 1998 feature on Memory Lane Barrow.
Since the book of the same name sold out two editions in 2001 we have had a constant stream of disappointed readers trying to get a copy.
Now new technology has allowed us to take all the pictures, place captions on them and present the whole as a slide show to play on any computer or on DVD players able to handle Jpeg files.
Chapter by chapter it covers everything from transport and town centre changes to sport and life in the shipyard.
It’s a great gift, or something to keep and treasure for anyone with local links.
Also available is The Way We Worked (One).
All copies of this sold out two years ago so the new CD has all 164 pictures as a slide show to view on computer or DVD player.
As a bonus for computer users, the entire book contents are included in a fully searchable PDF format.
Pages in this first electronic book can be enlarged to see extra detail or searched for content by keywords.

  • SPECIAL OFFER: You can buy either disc from Evening Mail offices for £6.99 OR buy a disc together with any of the Memories Series books shown below for £9.99.
