We did it! Best ever results

HEARTS were pounding this morning as hundreds of nervous Furness students opened their long awaited A-Level results.
Jessica is off to the University of Cambridge to study modern languages.
Yasmine Olabi, Chetwynde’s head girl, also got four straight As. Chetwynde’s pass rate is 99 per cent this year, with 73 per cent achieving As and Bs.
Barrow Sixth Form College recorded its best ever results. The pass rate at the Rating Lane college is 98 per cent, with 44 per cent high grades. Nine students achieved four grades As each. They are; identical twins Emily Croskery and Laura Croskery, James Binfield, Steven Cunningham, Michelle Fagan, Tyne Hillbeck, Sarah Moran, Rebecca Sanders and Candice Saunders. Candice will study at the University of Oxford and Gareth Brookfield and Rachel Butler head to the University of Cambridge after both achieving three As. Principal David Kelly said: “I am so pleased for all the staff and students who have worked hard in order to achieve these results.”
