WOMEN dressed with their underwear over their clothes attracted plenty of glances as they walked through the streets of Ulverston last night to raise money for Breast Cancer UK.
More than 30 women took part in the sponsored moonwalk, as part of the Ulverston Fashion Week celebrations.
Lynne Ward, of the King’s Arms Hotel, Ulverston, one of three women taking part to have beaten breast cancer, said: “It was quite fitting. You have to support it and help raise awareness.
“We had a good turn-out and hopefully the support will grow year-on-year because this was the first ever one in Ulverston.
“We had a few curious glances. We said if you can have a look then you can put some money in the bucket.”
The party set off from the Market Cross at 7pm and walked in a loop via Swan Street.
